Quote of the Week: October 7

"Hey, I want to say something. I've been trying to be more honest lately and I just need to say a few things. I did the coal walk! Just, I did it. Michael, you couldn't even do that. Maybe I should be your boss. Wow, I feel really good right now. Why didn't any of you come to my art show? I invited all of you. That really sucked. It's like sometimes, some of you act like I don't even exist. Jim, I called off my wedding because of you. And now we're not even friends. And things are just like weird between us, and that sucks. And I miss you. You were my best friend before you went to Stamford. And I really miss you. I shouldn't have been with Roy, and there were a lot of reasons to call off my wedding. But the truth is, I didn't care about any of those reasons until I met you. And now you're with someone else and that's fine. It's... whatever. That's not what I'm... I'm not... okay, my feet really hurt. The thing that I'm just trying to say to you, Jim, and to everyone else in the circle, I guess, is that I miss having fun with you. Just you, not everyone in the circle. Okay, I am gonna go walk in the water now. Yeah, it's a good day."

- Pam Beesly,

telling Jim (finally) how she felt.

Fun Run

I know that it has been a while since I updated the blog.... Sorry... I have been busy.

OK... briefly... the Fun Run...

A great episode!

The office finally knows about Jim and Pam (Everyone, this is a day that will live in infamy. Because today is the day that Jim and Pam become one. Let the bells of Dunder Mifflin chime out your love" -Michael Scott). But why was Toby saying about not letting them fill out an office relationship form. Does he think that they are not going to last. I hope he is wrong... PB & J Forever.

And now Ryan is Mr. HotShot coming back from corporate trying to bring them into the modern times. I felt bad for Michael when Ryan snapped at him at the beginning (even though he kind of deserved it). It cracked me up when Michael was texting and Ryan tried to copy him.

There were many funny parts but Kelly MADE the episode. I loved when everyone was putting up a banner that said "Welcome Back Ryan!" and she walks in in a sexy dress and was like.... "OH... is Ryan coming back? I did not know." YEA RIGHT! But the best part was when she wanted to get back together with Ryan, so she told him that she was pregnant. Then there was a clip of her shaking her head. Then Ryan told her said that they would talk about it over dinner and she goes "Yea! We have a date!" Hilarious!

Dwight and Angela are over. Even though Dwight offered Angela Garbage the cat, she says, "Every time I look in your eyes, I see Sprinkles’ stiff, lifeless body." Dwight replies, "Then don’t look in my eyes. Look right here. It’s an old sales trick." I feel bad for Dwight because he loved Angela, but it was still funny when he was crying in Michael's car about Angela. Will they get back together? I guess only the next episode will tell. Even though, they are both weirdos, they belong together (maybe for that reason). They prove that even nerds and a person who is no fun can find love. :-)

And finally, Michael was stressed out because Creed convinced him that Ryan was trying to update the office and get rid of all the old people. Consequently, Creed dyes his hair black and spikes it. He wants the vending machines to be filled with Red Bull because sometimes, "a guy just needs to ride the bull." "Later, skater!" Michael has one of his infamous meetings. At this one, he convinces everyone that "Well, we have learned that you can't teach an old dog new tricks, because it's illegal, and you will go to jail."

Ryan asks Pam out and Pam turns him down (obviously, she is with Jim). This causes Jim to say, "I guess he cannot get any girl he wants."

Michael tries to prove that gift baskets work better than websites in getting back old clients and ends up driving into Lake Scranton. ("Computers tried to murder him in the lake.")

Pam and Jim- Television's Cutest Couple

USA Weekend Magazine voted Pam and Jim as the cutest couple on TV! According to the magazine, "Pam and Jim don't realize how intimate they are. They almost have their own language already. They have in-jokes and the same sense of humor. I think they're farther along than they even know, but it's sweet to watch them find their way."

EXCITING!

Quote of the Week: September 30

"Guess what? I have flaws. What are they? Oh I don't know... I sing in the shower. Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I'll hit somebody with my car. So sue me. No, don't sue me... that's the opposite of the point I'm trying to make."
- Michael Scott,
after he hits Meredith with his car.

What was your favorite quote in the Fun Run?

Leave a comment and tell me what your favorite quote was in the Fun Run? Was is it from Dwight or Pam or Michael?

Let me know!

Pam Looks Better Than Ever!

Is it me or does Pam look better and happier than ever now that she is with Jim? (except for that crazy look on her face in the second picure...lol)

Before:

After:

Season 4 Premiere: The Fun Run

What an excellent start to the season! I have waited for months for The Office to start again, and it finally has with one of my favorite episodes ever. Not only were there hysterical moments during the show, but it also involved some major plot developments between many of the characters that we have come to know and love.

The show opens with Michael showing how his day begins: he eats his breakfast which was homemade by Jan (well actually, she bought the milk.... it's organic!), he says goodbye to the now jobless Jan who is still sleeping, and he drives to work. On the way to work he hits Meredith, one of his employees.

Then, Jim tells us that he has broken up with Karen and she no longer is working is Scranton. He claims he's single, but he has been spending more time with Pam and they both look happier than ever. Kevin is immediately suspicious that they are a couple, even though Oscar says that there is no evidence for this.

Michael announces that Meredith was hit by a car (which he happened to be in.... and driving!) and that she has only suffered a crack in her pelvis. The office is obviously shocked and appalled with Michael (even though Dwight reassures him, "It's only Meredith")

Michael informs Ryan, now working at corporate, about what just happened and Michael tries to ensure him that everything is okay ("We're in double jeopardy so we're fine.... I mean 'What is we are fine'")

The whole crew, with the exception of Dwight who must feed and give medications to Angela's sick cat sprinkles. Meredith looks very bad (causing Kelly to say, "She looks awful" and Michael to reply that "she looked that way before I hit her"). Michael asks for her forgiveness but Meredith refuses.

Everyone returns to the office including Dwight who informs Angela that Sprinkles is dead. Angela is heartbroken and Michael announces that the office must be cursed! Therefore, Michael calls a staff meeting to determine what can be done to eliminate this curse (make a sacrifice to "Like a giant buffalo. Or some sort of monster... something with the body of a walrus with the head of a sea lion, or something with the body of an egret. With the head of a meer cat. Or just the head of a monkey with the antlers of a reindeer. With a body of.... a porcupine." ) and Dwight goes to visit Meredith in the hospital. While he is there, he not only tries to unplug her because the amount of energy being used to keep her alive "could power a small fan for two days", but also because he is a farmer and he believes in putting animals in pain out of their misery (hint, hint, for later in the episode). Dwight also discovers that Meredith may have been exposed to rabies (when Dwight put a bag over her head that contained a bat during Season 3, when she was bitten by a rat, or when she was bitten by a racoon).

By end of that day at work, Pam and Jim both claim they are single and Kevin finally gives up on the thought that they are together. However, the cameramen catch a clip of Jim getting into Pam's car and they KISS! FINALLY!! The next day in the office, they are shown the clip by the cameramen. At first they deny that they are together, but then Pam blurts out, "WE'RE DATING!" and they both say that they have not told anyone but it has been really great. AGAIN... FINALLY!

Dwight tells Michael this news and Michael believes that he saved Meredith by putting her in the hospital because other wise she might not have found out that she has been exposed rabies. He decides to have his own fundrasier called Michael Scott's Dunder-Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Fun Run Race for the Cure. The entire office is raising money for the fundraiser and then they will be running (Andy is taking special precautions to prevent nipple chaffing).

Pam has to tell Michael something, so she knocks on his door, he says come in, and so she does. Then she catches him naked... with a certain part exposed (poor Pam... that could scar someone for life). Later, they discover that they have raised seven hundred dollars for rabies ($500 from Michael and Jan, and some money from Dwight who was told that it was going towards bat birth control). However, two hundred dollars is spent on a giant check and $160 spent on a stripper dressed a nurse for them to give the check too (there were no rabies doctors or nurses available).

Before the race, Jan tells Pam to stay away from Michael because he is hers (she heard that Pam had walked in on him) and Michael downs a ton of Fettucine Alfredo (one minte before the race.... the wrong time for carb overloading). Then, the race begins. Dwight tells Michael that he gave Toby Immodium (oops! He meant laxatives so that Toby would have to stop often), but instead Toby runs without having to stop to go the bathroom unlike he usually does. Jim and Pam decide to walk, enjoy their day, and stop at an estate sale. Kevin and Stanley decide to go to a restaurant and then drive to the finish line. Angela believes that Dwight killed her cat and Dwight then admits that he did because he could not stand watching the animal suffer. He sang her her favorite song and put her in the freezer. Angela is infuriated and she hits Dwight.... uh, oh.... I hope they do not break up. Michael runs so fast that by the end he cannot go any farther and it is up to Pam and Jim to encourage him to keep going. They do and he makes it to the finish line. He "pukes his guts out," but he "never pukes his heart out." Then is taken to the hospital for dehydration where he runs into Meredith who forgives him because he tried to help (with the fundraiser).

The highlight of the episode was that Jim and Pam are finally together.... I have waited long enough, but now that it has finally happened.... it is so worth it.

I cannot wait until next week!

Office Quote of the Week: September 16

"Last year Creed asked me how to set up a blog. Wanting to protect the world from being exposed to Creed's brain I opened up a Word document on his computer and put an address at the top. I've read some of it. Even for the internet it's... pretty shocking."
-Ryan Howard,
after Creed mentions his "blog"

Low Emmy Ratings

The Washington Post is reporting that these past Emmy awards had the fewest viewers of any previous Emmy Awards. Nielsen Media Research is currently estimating that there were 13.1 million viewers last Sunday. That is lower than the previous low for the Emmy Awards of 13.8 million viewers three years ago.

Just a thought... maybe if The Office would have won more awards, more people would have watched.... hmmmmmm....

The Stars of The Office Clean Up Nicely

Steve Carell (up for the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Michael) looked nice in a tuxedo. He arrived with his wife, Nancy Walls (who you may remember as Michael's girlfriend, Carol on The Office). Here he is frolicking on stage with Jon Stewart and Steve Colbert after they announced at they wanted to give the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series to him because Ricky Gervais (the winner for Extras) was not in attendance.

Rainn Wilson (up for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Dwight) looked sophisticated, yet Dwight-ish. He came with his wife, Holiday Reinhorn.

Jenna Fischer (up for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Pam) looked great in a gold dress with a rather large bow.

Other Office stars in attendance included John Krasinski (Jim), Melora Hardin (Jan), Mindy Kaling (Kelly), Rashida Jones (Karen), Angela Kinsey (Angela), Brian Baumgartner (Kevin), Kate Flannery (Meredith), and B.J. Novak (Ryan).

Rainn "Out-Raps" Kanye

For those of you who missed the Emmy Awards on Sunday night, missed an oppurtunity to see Rainn Wilson (Dwight) show off his mad rapping skills. He faced off with Kanye West in a "Don't Forget The Lyrics Style" faceoff. They competed to see who could sing the lyrics to the new Kanye West song "Stronger" more accurately. Obviously, Rainn won, but just watch to see how it went down. It is hilarious!

The Office Takes Home One Emmy Award!

Greg Daniels, a writer from The Office, took home the award for Best Writing for a Comedy Series in the Gay Witch Hunt episode of The Office (the first episode of season three).

I am glad he won. I just wish the show would have won in the other categories where it was nominated. Here were the other awards it was up for:

Best Lead Actor in a Comedy – Steve Carell (Michael) *Won by Ricky Gervais (Extras)
Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy – Rainn Wilson (Dwight) *Won by Jeremy Piven (Entourage)

No More The Office on iTunes!

After weeks of pricing disagreements with the Internet's largest digital video supplier, iTunes, NBC has announced that none of the NBC Universal shows (including shows on NBC, Bravo, USA, and Sci Fi) will be available on iTunes any longer, including The Office. NBC claims that they did not want to renew their contract with Apple which expires in December due to Apple's lack of flexibility, while Apple claims that NBC wanted a "dramatic price increase" and they just wouldn't have it. No matter what the truth is... no more of The Office on my iPod.... NOOOOOOO! NBC will be moving its shows to the Amazon's Unbox, which is not iPod compatible (it only works with products such as the Zen). Thanks to the positive buzz on iTunes about The Office, the show gained a lot of popularity. It is unclear whether or not the shows will be available on iTunes to purchase until December 2007. NBC and Apple are both telling different stories.

Bottom Line: Buy The Office on iTunes while you still can!

The Office Premieres on TBS!

Last Night (Tuesday, September 11th), The Office premiered on TBS with two classic episodes, The Pilot (the episode that started it all) and Diversity Day (one of the the best episodes ever!). The Office will contine to be on TBS on Tuesday nights at 10 pm!

"Safety violation. I could fall and pierce... an organ."

Weird Coincidence

I just realized something. Jenna Fischer (Pam)'s ex-husband was named James. And do you know what a common nickname for someone named James is...... JIM! That is crazy! She was married to someone named Jim. I just hope that Pam and Jim on The Office don't turn out like Jenna and Jim in real life... break up!

Jenna Fischer and Husband Split

Sad news for Jenna Fischer (The Office's Pam) will be seperating from her husband of 6 years, James Gunn, a Hollywood director and writer. She announced the news on her MySpace Pam I Am and said that she and her now ex-husband will continue to remain close. Jenna is 33 and James is 41.

Maybe Jenna Fischer (Pam Beesley) and John Krasinski (Jim Halpert) can hook up in real life too..... hmmmmmm.....

The Best Season 3 Episode is....

There are so many classic episodes in The Office Season 3.

It is too difficult for me to decide which one is the very best, so I am going to tell you a few of my favorite ones and then you can comment and share your favorite.

1. The Gay Witch Hunt- So many HILARIOUS moments... the uncomfortable kiss between Michael and Oscar, Angela's fear of Dwight, and of course, Dwight's GAYDAR! And of course... we learn what happened between Jim and Pam after the Season 2 finale. Also, Pam finally came to her senses and left Roy!

2. Initiation- We visit Dwight's beet farm for the first time.... enough said.

3. The Merger- JIM'S BACK! JIM'S BACK!

4. The Convict- Our first introduction to Prison Mike.

5. Ben Franklin- The female and Ben Franklin strippers come to the office for Phyllis's wedding shower. "Secrets, Secrets are no fun. Secrets, Secrets hurt someone.

6. Safety Training- Michael almost kills himself pretending to kill himself which leads to a hate crime against Stanley's car (haha).

7. Product Recall- An inappropriate water mark print on paper given to a private business and to a high school leads to hectic times in the office and interesting antics from our favorite characters.

8. Beach Games- Pam sticks up for herself while Angela sabatoges the SUMO competition!

9. The Job- We learn about Dwight's secret desires, Jan gets fired, and Jim dumps Karen for Pam (I think... and I hope... I guess we will see in Season 4!)

I cannot wait to hear what you guys think!

Emmy Awards 2007- The Good and The Bad

You cannot imagine how thrilled I was to hear a few of the people nominated this year for Emmy Awards (for excellence in television). Not only was The Office nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, but Steve Carell (Michael Scott) scored a nom for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for The Office, Rainn Wilson (Dwight K. Schrute) was nominated for The Office in the category, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, and Jenna Fischer (Pam Beesly) got a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for The Office. There was only one mistake... Where was John Krasinski (Jim Halpert)'s nomination? Some of the best moments in the show belong to him. His impression of Dwight alone should have earned him at least a nomination if not the award. Everyone cross your fingers on September 16th when the Emmy Awards will be broadcasted on FOX.

Season 4 Predictions

> Dwight and Angela will get engaged.

> Karen and Jim will break up.

> Michael and Jan will break up.

> Someone new will join the office.

> Karen transfers to a different location or quits entirely.

> Someone new joins the cast.

> More hilarious antics and lines from Michael and the rest of the employees.

Jenna Fischer's Back

Jenna Fischer who stars as Pam on The Office was recently attending a promotion party for The Office when she took a tumble down a flight of stairs fracturing her back in four places. She should be fully recovered in 4-6 weeks. She should be ready to say, "Dunder-Mifflin, this is Pam." when season four is filmed later this summe

Season 3 Finale

I was happy with this finale.

It may not have been the funniest episode, but it had some funny moments and definitely a great ending.

I cannot believe Ryan got the job!

One of my favorite parts was when Michael was bragging about how he knows everyone at corporate so Jim asks him who one man is and Michael goes "Oh yea, that's Beardy!" Jim goes to introduce himself to "Beardy" but Michael stops him before he does.

Dwight's greatest dream of owning a bed and breakfast with Satan that does not have cable, but wait, he will have a salary of $80,000 a year!

I wonder what happened with Karen and Jim. She will definitely not be happy if Jim and Pam go out to dinner. I do not think Jim will ever want to leave Scranton... at least the people... or at least ONE PERSON... I like Karen, but I like Pam more and she belongs with Jim. Karen and Jim have to break up! Team Pam! I wonder if Pam and Jim are going out on a date or just as friends. I guess we will have to wait until September 27 to find out.

Jan had some, well, interesting news... when I read the description of the episode it said "Jan has some exciting news for Michael." and I immediately thought that she was pregnant. However, that was definitely not the case. She had breast enhancement surgery. I cannot believe that Jan has gone so crazy. She is like a psycho. I always thought of her as a strict, hardworking businesswoman. After I heard the CFO Randall say that she smokes at work, misses work for weeks at a time, spends most of her time shopping online, visits Scranton frequently, etc. I guess dating Michael Scott can do some crazy things to a person.

I thought that it was funny when Creed told Pam "I remember what you said (at the beach), it is all in my blog." Then, Ryan is like "A couple months ago Creed asked me to create a blog but wanting to save the world from Creed's thoughts, I just opened up a Word document and typed a URL on the top. I read it. It is surprising, even for the internet."

The only thing that I wish would have happened is something with Dwangela. I think they should get married. They are a good couple because, well, they both have quirks and are both a little bit weird. Angela Schrute. Has a ring to it. Doesn't it?
